How They Met
Elissa and Adam first met at a retreat a year prior and immediately had super deep conversations about God. She was in the midst of many transitions in life and prayed the St. Therese novena for God to send her a light pink rose if she should pursue a relationship with Adam. They began a 33 Day Consecration to Jesus through Mary before making any decisions about entering into an official relationship. On the day the Consecration ended, August 15th (the Assumption!), he showed up at her house with the light pink rose she had been praying for. He had no idea she prayed for this! The rest is history, and he proposed this year in the Rosary Garden where they had their first date!
The Latin Nuptial Mass and Reception
Their beautiful spring wedding took place in Rockford, IL at St. Mary Oratory, an Institute of Christ the King parish. After the breathtaking Latin Nuptial Mass, the newlyweds and bridal party were off to the reception at The Bricks for a brunch reception. The centerpieces of thrifted milk glass and florals, and music from made for the perfect environment to celebrate all afternoon! Guests were thrilled by the surprise bridal party dance! As the evening came to a close, the newlyweds were sent off with a grand exit outside a beautiful glass garage door, where they left in style in a classic car. It was truly a beautiful day where guests walked away both filled with joy and zeal for God, and lots of laughs and smiles from the fun party.
